Cellulosic Silk Flat Varnish
FIELDS OF USE
The varnish is formulated to be used on interior surfaces for decoration purposes and on all kinds of massive and coated wooden surfaces in furniture. It is used as topcoat varnish on surfaces prepared with cellulosic, polyurethane or polyester varnish.
PROPERTIES
It is a combination of nitrocellulose and special alkyd. It dries quickly. It has excellent filling ability. It hardens the surface at a high level. It has a high spreadability, leaving no trace of brush and roll. Creates a clear and transparent surface.
Appearance: Semi-transparent
Chemical Structure: nitrocellulose and alkyd combination.
Thinner: Kardelen Cellulosic Thinner
Density: (at 20°C): 0.93–0.97 gr/cm3
Solid matter quantity: 30% – 34% Brightness: (gloss): >85.
Surfaces to be applied with Cellulosic Silk Flat Varnish should be dust free and oil free. It is applied by spraying. In order to obtain surfaces with natural appearance where the design and vitality of wood are desired, two or three coats are applied on surfaces where cellulosic, polyurethane or polyester sealant varnish is applied and rubbed with sandpaper no: 220- and 400. Drying period between coats is 10-15 minutes.
In a single coat leaving a dry film thickness of 35-40 μ, 8-10 m2 area can be covered with 1 lt. (except losses).
Storable for 2 years in cool and dry places away from direct sunlight between -5 and +30 °C with the lid tightly closed. Avoid freezing.
